இந்திய பிரதமரின் இலங்கை பயணத்தின்போது அபிவிருத்தி திட்டங்களும் முதலீட்டுத் திட்டங்களும் ஆரம்பிக்கப்படவுள்ளன.
இது, இலங்கைக்கும் இந்தியாவுக்கும் நன்மை தரும் திட்டங்களாகவே அமைந்துள்ளன.
இந்தியாவை பொறுத்தவரை, இது இலங்கைக்கு பெருமளவில் உதவி செய்து வருகிறது. இதனால் சிங்கள மக்களே அதிகம் நன்மைப் பெறுகின்றனர்.
எனினும் இந்தியாவினால், சிங்கள மக்களின் மனங்களை இன்னும் முழுமையாக வெல்லமுடியவில்லை.
இந்தியா, இன்னும் இந்த விடயத்தில் சீனாவை விட பின்தங்கியே இருக்கிறது.
இதனை நிவர்த்தித்து, சிங்கள மக்கள் மத்தியில் நிலைபெற இந்தியா உரிய திட்டங்களை பின்பற்றவேண்டும்.
எனினும் இந்தியாவிடம் அதற்கான முன்னெடுப்புக்கள் உள்ளனவா என்பதில் தெளிவில்லை.
India in the minds of the Sinhalese people
Development projects and investment projects are to be launched during the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Sri Lanka
These are projects that will benefit both Sri Lanka and India.
As far as India is concerned, this is helping Sri Lanka to a great extent. The Sinhalese people are the ones who benefit the most.
However, India has not yet been able to completely win the minds of the Sinhalese people.
India is still lagging behind China in this regard.
India should follow appropriate plans to address this and establish itself among the Sinhalese people.
However, it is not clear whether India has any initiatives for this.
සිංහල ජනතාවගේ සිත් තුළ ඉන්දියාව
ඉන්දීය අග්රාමාත්යවරයාගේ ශ්රී ලංකා සංචාරය අතරතුර සංවර්ධන ව්යාපෘති සහ ආයෝජන ව්යාපෘති දියත් කිරීමට නියමිතය.
මේවා ශ්රී ලංකාවට සහ ඉන්දියාවට යන දෙකටම ප්රතිලාභ ලැබෙන ව්යාපෘති වේ.
ඉන්දියාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් ගත් කල, මෙය ශ්රී ලංකාවට බොහෝ දුරට උපකාරී වේ. සිංහල ජනතාවට තමයි වැඩිම ප්රතිලාභ ලැබෙන්නේ.
කෙසේ වෙතත්, ඉන්දියාවට තවමත් සිංහල ජනතාවගේ සිත් සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම දිනා ගැනීමට නොහැකි වී තිබේ.
මේ අතින් ඉන්දියාව තවමත් චීනයට වඩා පසුපසින් සිටී.
මෙයට පිළියම් යෙදීමට සහ සිංහල ජනතාව අතර ස්ථාපිත වීමට ඉන්දියාව සුදුසු සැලසුම් අනුගමනය කළ යුතුය.
කෙසේ වෙතත්, මේ සඳහා ඉන්දියාවට කිසියම් මුලපිරීමක් තිබේද යන්න පැහැදිලි නැත.
